It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Prentice had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Bayfield Trollers. Winning may never get old, but the Buccaneers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Several Trollers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quintin Bresette, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 17 rebounds. Bresette has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Maxwell Gordon was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 15 points and eight boards.
Prentice's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Bayfield, they moved to 21-6 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.
Prentice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-41 loss against Rib Lake on the 13th. Bayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
