Hanover is 1-9 against Pikes Peak Christian since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hanover Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles at 8:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Tyler Decker and Eddie Harmon.
On Wednesday, Hanover ended up a good deal behind Elbert and lost 52-34.
Meanwhile, Pikes Peak Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Cripple Creek-Victor for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-26 victory at home. Pikes Peak Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
Harmon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Noah Sachsenmaier was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Pikes Peak Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Hanover might still be hurting after the 63-38 defeat they got from Pikes Peak Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Hanover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
