Volleyball Recap: East Gaston Starts Season with Victory Against Forestview

East Gaston had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Forestview Jaguars. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Jaguars on their court since August 16, 2018.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East Gaston took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Morgan Styles was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

After both having extra time off, East Gaston and Highland Tech will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Forestview, they will head out to face off against Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
