A Season-Best Performance from Hayezon Jackson Leads Clayton Valley Charter over Las Lomas
Hayezon Jackson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Clayton Valley Charter to the win on Friday. Jackson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.7) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
The win (which was Clayton Valley Charter's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Jackson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Acalanes on Friday.

Las Lomas had to settle for second on Friday, but Roman Mercado sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Mercado was still balling out as he picked up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Mercado might have his next game, a home matchup with Campolindo, circled on his calendar. Mercado picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Blair As Miramonte Fell 35-28
Miramonte had to settle for second on Friday, but Carson Blair sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Blair as he threw for 348 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Miramonte's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. Blair and Miramonte will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
