Faith Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 45-25 defeat at the hands of Augusta Christian. Faith Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-6.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Sara Morgan Sapp scored ten points. Sapp scored a full 40% of Faith Christian Academy's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Evans, who scored six points.
Faith Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Augusta Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy is on the road again on January 16th and play against Alleluia Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Augusta Christian, they will square off against Ben Lippen at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
