Basketball Recap: Inverness Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Grace Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Inverness Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Grace Christian SWORDSMEN 72-23. The victory was some much needed relief for Inverness Christian Academy as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Inverness Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Albair out in front who went 8 for 20 on his way to 18 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Albair is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Breedlove, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Inverness Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 18 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Inverness Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Grace Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Spring Hill Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Inverness Christian Academy will head out to face Spring Hill Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16, 2025, while Grace Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025.
