Basketball Recap: Shandon Camas Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

After losing to Lund the last time they met, McDermitt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The McDermitt Bulldogs secured a 51-46 W over the Lund Mustangs on Saturday.

McDermitt's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shandon Camas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 boards. Camas is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Palmer, who posted 12 points and four steals.

McDermitt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.

The victory got McDermitt back to even at 8-8. As for Lund, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDermitt will welcome Jackpot at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lund, they will be playing at home against Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Owyhee will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lund surely won't give up without a fight.
