They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maranatha Baptist. Rock County Christian has not had much luck with Maranatha Baptist recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Rock County Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tony Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Thompson hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Gabriel Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven assists.
Rock County Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3. As for Maranatha Baptist, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock County Christian will take on Mountain Top Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Top Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Rock County Christian is ranked 126th). As for Maranatha Baptist, they will be playing at home against Waukesha Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
