Snowflake has gone a perfect 10-0 against Blue Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Snowflake will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Ridge at 2:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Snowflake's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Blue Ridge has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
Things were looking good for Snowflake after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Show Low, falling 20-10. While the Lobos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 4-0 in the first period.
Taya Schneider and Graycee Skousen did some serious damage despite the final result: Schneider went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Skousen scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Bryant, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Snowflake lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, Blue Ridge lost 12-5 to Alchesay on Friday.
Korti Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Snowflake's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Snowflake has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .486. However, it's not like Blue Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Snowflake's way against Blue Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Snowflake made off with an 18-0 win. Will Snowflake repeat their success, or does Blue Ridge has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
