Even though the Woodland Wolfpack scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, the Carrollton Trojans still came out on top. Carrollton walked away with a 74-66 win over Woodland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carrollton.
When it comes to explaining why Woodland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Lewis. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. The match was Lewis' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Langston Jones was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists.
Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Carrollton and Trinity Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trinity Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Carrollton is ranked 135th). Woodland will be home for the holidays to greet Arabia Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arabia Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 576 points over their last nine games.
