It was a good run, but the Riverside Indian Braves unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 72-58 bruising from Sapulpa. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tyla Heard was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and six steals for Sapulpa. The contest was Heard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Riki Mcquarters was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Riverside Indian's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Sapulpa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Riverside Indian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tahlequah on December 28, 2023. Sapulpa won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lincoln Christian on December 28, 2023. Lincoln Christian's defense has only allowed 25.1 points per game this season, so Sapulpa's offense will have their work cut out for Sapulpa.
