The Timothy Christian Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Chicago Christian on the road to the tune of 62-33. The win was a breath of fresh air for Timothy Christian as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Timothy Christian found their leader in underclassman Elisabeth Van Den Berg, who scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Van Den Berg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Parker, who scored two points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Chicago Christian still got an impressive performance from Tegan Colyer, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Timothy Christian's victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Chicago Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timothy Christian will take on St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chicago Christian, Chicago Christian and Yorkville Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Yorkville Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Friday.
