Meanwhile, South entered their tilt with Eastmoor Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. South put the hurt on Eastmoor Academy with a sharp 68-44 victory on Tuesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win South has managed all season.
South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lajames Washington led the charge by scoring 22 points. The contest was Washington's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maurice Mccall was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Africentric Early College now has a losing record at 1-2. As for South, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Africentric Early College skirted past South 57-54 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Africentric Early College since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
