The Ethel Tigers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Noxapater with a 56-51 victory on Tuesday. The win was just what Ethel needed coming off of a 74-48 defeat in their prior game.
Ethel was led to victory by Ladarris Hubbert and Ladamien Merritt. Hubbert dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds, while Merritt scored 21 points along with two blocks. Hubbert is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Merritt, who scored five points along with six assists.
Ethel's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Noxapater, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Ethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Noxapater also has no future games currently scheduled.
