The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kelly Walsh in their matchups with Natrona County: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Kelly Walsh saw an underclassman step up: Lillian Hudson scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peyton Hill, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Kelly Walsh's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Natrona County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
After both having extra time off, Kelly Walsh and Sheridan will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 3:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024. Natrona County and Douglas will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
