West Broward is 6-0-1 against Taravella since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The West Broward Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Taravella Trojans at 6:30 p.m. West Broward's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Taravella's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
West Broward's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Stoneman Douglas hitters got past them. West Broward lost 12-5 to Stoneman Douglas on Friday.
Adrian Bermudez put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Ethan Lindor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of West Broward's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Isaiah DelValle also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Taravella sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Coral Springs Charter on Friday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Michael Ghann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zach Stephens, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Taravella kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Taravella's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Broward, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Everything went West Broward's way against Taravella in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as West Broward made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Broward since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
