The Mt. Salus Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Woodlawn Prep, falling 83-54. Mt. Salus Christian has struggled against Woodlawn Prep recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodlawn Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylon Reed, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Sinclair, who scored 18 points.
Mt. Salus Christian bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Woodlawn Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Salus Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tensas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. Woodlawn Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Columbia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th.
