The Cascade Champions will head out on the road to face off against the Marion County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Marion County is ranked 70th).
Last Friday, Cascade was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 15-9 to Fayetteville.
Meanwhile, Marion County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-7 victory over Cannon County on the road. The result was nothing new for Marion County, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Marion County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Leonard, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was EJ Wilson, who gained 85 total yards and a touchdown.
Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Marion County, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
