After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fall River, the Credo Gryphon were happy to have found some success on Friday. They managed a 45-39 victory over Modoc. That's another feather in the cap for Credo, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Modoc's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Maddox, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Maddox scored a full 35.9% of Modoc's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chris Guasp was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Credo now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Modoc, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Credo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burney at 1:45 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Modoc, they will square off against Tulelake at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
