The Midd-West Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 59-47 to Lewisburg. Midd-West has not had much luck with Lewisburg recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Midd-West lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Garrett Leitzel, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Noah Romig, who scored 19 points.
Midd-West now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lewisburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Midd-West on the road again on Tuesday and play against Juniata at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Lewisburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montoursville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
