The Bruce Trojans lost against the Palmer Dragons back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bruce took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmer.
Despite the loss, Bruce still got an impressive performance from Laken Corbitt, who almost dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Corbitt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was A'toria Knox, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Bruce has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Palmer, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-11.
Bruce will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Houlka at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Houlka comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Palmer, they will be playing at home against Water Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Water Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
