The Carver Tigers will face off against the Stephens County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Carver sitting on 24 straight wins dating back to last season and Stephens County on three.
Carver is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Redan, posting a 56-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by 26 points or more this season.

Carver didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jaiden Taylor. Taylor is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Tristian Givens was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Carver, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of JaMarcus Davis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Stephens County posted their closest win since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over Crisp County.
Stephens County's win came from a few key players Carver will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Davon Swinton, who picked up 173 receiving yards and one score. Stephens County also relied on Swinton, who's 46-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game. Branson Stowe was another key player, having thrown for 279 yards and onetouchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stephens County's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Morris Perkins, Asher Fleming, and Kaden Johnson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Stephens County got some further help from Perkins: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (6.0 for loss).
Carver's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Stephens County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
