The Eastern Tech Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and Overlea wasn't particularly close, with Eastern Tech falling 88-71. Eastern Tech has struggled against the Falcons recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Eastern Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jericho Wondeye, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Adrian Pefianco, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Eastern Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Overlea, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Eastern Tech will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Comets at 5:30 p.m. Overlea will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Friars at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
