Anderson County won against Union County on Thursday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Mavericks blew past the Patriots 18-7. Considering the Mavericks have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Anderson County's third in a row) raised their record to 13-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Anderson County will be playing at home against Gibbs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Mavericks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Union County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Knoxville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.35 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
