Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cooper Bulldogs walked away with it. They blew past Frankston 61-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Cooper, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Cooper got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Markell Smith out in front who rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Adryean Mapps was another key contributor, gaining 160 total yards and two touchdowns.
Cooper's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.91 points. As for Frankston, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Frankston also has no future games currently scheduled.
