Cooper got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Markell Smith out in front who rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Adryean Mapps was another key contributor, gaining 160 total yards and two touchdowns.
Cooper's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.91 points. As for Frankston, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
