Last Thursday, Faith Baptist School earned a 64-51 victory over Tome. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Faith Baptist School.
Israel Cousins and Elijah Miller were among the main playmakers for Faith Baptist School as the former dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds and the latter scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Zach Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fairwinds Christian came tearing into back in December of 2023's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Varsity Opponent with points to spare, taking the game 46-32.
Fairwinds Christian found their leader in underclassman Jaiden Rajis, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rajis has scored at least 25% of Fairwinds Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Mccloud HS, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Faith Baptist School's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fairwinds Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Faith Baptist School was able to grind out a solid victory over Fairwinds Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 37-30.
