Dupree is 4-0 against Stanley County since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dupree Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Stanley County Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After soaring to 61 points the game before, Dupree were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They were dealt a 54-16 loss at the hands of Harding County. While losing is never fun, Dupree can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Harding County is ranked 15th).
Meanwhile, Stanley County suffered a rough 51-30 loss at the hands of Sully Buttes on Monday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stanley County in their matchups with Sully Buttes: they've now lost seven in a row.
Dupree are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Stanley County, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Dupree against Stanley County when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 54-17 win. Does Dupree have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stanley County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
