Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sabino). They came out on top against the Coolidge Bears by a score of 49-41 on Tuesday. For the Sabercats, this counts as revenge for the 57-41 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Sabino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Jimenez led the charge by shooting 50% from the field en route to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayil Combs, who posted 14 points.

Sabino's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Coolidge, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Sabino has already played their next matchup, a 53-38 defeat against Walden Grove on the 25th. As for Coolidge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-39 loss against Sahuarita on the 25th.
