Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Wins Going Away Against Tri-City Christian Academy

Heritage Academy won the last time they faced Tri-City Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Heroes were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Warriors. The Heroes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine runs or more this season.

Carson Grover was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Crew Clouse was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Heritage Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Heritage Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Heritage Academy will face off against Gila Bend at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Gila Monsters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Heroes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they will challenge New Way Learning Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
