If The Susquehannock Warriors were feeling good off their 28-7 takedown of the York Suburban Trojans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Susquehannock took a 26-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern York on Friday. Susquehannock was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eastern York apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Levi Ayala was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Eastern York also got a significant boost from Nuhsi Valenti, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Susquehannock has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Eastern York has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in six of their first eight contests, giving them a 6-2 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Susquehannock has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome West York Area at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. West York Area is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Eastern York, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against York Suburban at 7:00 p.m.
