The Transit Tech Express lost against the Summit Academy Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Transit Tech was outmatched by the Eagles on the road and fell 95-39. Transit Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-19.
Summit Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariyha Boston, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boston has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Freeman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 assists.
Transit Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Summit Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.
Transit Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Brooklyn Collegiate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Eagles are ranked 98th).
