Having just played yesterday, the Quitman County Hornets will get right back to it and host the Furlow Charter School Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Quitman County pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Terrell County. Quitman County has struggled against Terrell County recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Furlow Charter School, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were dealt a 84-3 defeat at the hands of Manchester on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Furlow Charter School has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Furlow Charter School got a solid performance out of Kamari Deriso, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Quitman County has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Furlow Charter School, they bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road.
