Matthew Nevarez Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Nampa Christian got the W thanks in part to Matthew Nevarez playing the best football he has all season. Nevarez rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for Nampa Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Parma's probably not too fond of Nevarez given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Nevarez saw the Panthers), he rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Travis Posts Huge Game in 39-12 Loss
Payton Travis continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 108 rushing yards. He rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards.
Unfortunately for Marsing, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Travis. Travis rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in September of 2023.
