The Payson Lions will challenge the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Payson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Payson heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Bear River. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ridgeline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Hurricane on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Riverhawks, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Anne Wallace, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Dahlke, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Ridgeline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ridgeline pushed their record up to 20-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Payson, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-7 record.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Payson hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Ridgeline struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs.
