Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their 27th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Catholic Central Irish 56-28. One positive for the Jets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 Despite the loss, Northeastern still got an impressive performance from   Danielle Phelan, who  posted 11  points and seven  rebounds. Phelan is trending in the right direction considering she's  improved her point production for four straight games.  Alison Shaner was another key player,  putting up six points and five  rebounds.
Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Catholic Central, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Madison Plains  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Northeastern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Catholic Central, they will take on West Jefferson at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
