Nick Moss was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. He has become a key player for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Damien Lambert was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Providence Athletic Club was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to Augusta E.
Sam Joiner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered eight runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.
On the hitting side, Providence Athletic Club saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Edwards, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Edwards a new career-high in RBI (two).
Providence Athletic Club's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Providence Athletic Club, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics keep running through batters, or will Providence Athletic Club buck the trend?
