The Huron Tigers were the 65-49 winner over the Clyde Fliers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Huron suffered a rough 62-42 loss at the hands of the Fliers on Saturday. Huron was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Clyde was led to victory by Brayden Olson and Brennen Wilson. Olson scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Wilson scored 19 points along with two steals. Wilson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ben Wott, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Huron's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Clyde, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will face off against the Crimson Flashes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Clyde, they and the Blue Streaks will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sandusky knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matchups -- so hopefully the Fliers like a good challenge.
