Musselman won the last time they faced Hampshire and things went their way on Thursday too. Musselman blew past Hampshire 9-2.

Musselman let Taryn Boyles and Tannor Sharp run wild. Boyles scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Sharp went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That stolen base was Boyles' first of the season. Alex Whitmer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Musselman's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Hampshire, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Musselman will head out on the road to take on Spring Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Mills' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so Musselman's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hampshire, they will be playing at home against University at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. University will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
