The South Lake Eagles had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Florida Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was kevens charles, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was David PINA, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Florida Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Semaj Washington, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Washington has scored at least 25% of Central Florida Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Brigham, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
South Lake won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Foundation Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against International Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
