It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Heavener Wolves can now relate to. They fell just short of Sequoyah by a score of 30-28. Heavener's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Pj Riddley, who rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Riddley is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Jaxon Armstrong was another key contributor, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Heavener's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Sequoyah, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Heavener does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sequoyah will take on Kiefer at TBD on Friday. Kiefer is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
