The Rangely Panthers will face off against the Olathe Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with 11 losses in a row, Rangely turned things around against Grand Valley on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 14-5 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Bradley Lambros made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Rangely let Hunter Fouch and Landon Bollinger run wild. Fouch got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bollinger got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs Bollinger has posted since back in March. Braxton Shaffer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Rangely kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, while Olathe put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Grand Valley. The Pirates blew past the Cardinals 10-0.
Bridger Vincent was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Olathe: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Rangely's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Olathe, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
