The Delta Rabbits's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manti. Delta has not had much luck with Manti recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Delta lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cai Henderson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Henderson scored a full 45.6% of Delta's points, the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kale Brough was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five steals.
Austin Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Manti, scoring 26 points. The contest was Thomas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Frischknecht, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and five assists.
Delta has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Manti, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Delta will head out on the road to face off against Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carbon is on a three-game streak of home losses, Delta a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Manti will take on Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Manti likes a good challenge.
