With a playoff game on the line, the Pass Christian Pirates rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Quitman as Pass Christian made off with a 27-7 victory. The result was nothing new for Pass Christian, who have now won eight matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pass Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacquez Alexander-dedeaux, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Terry Patton Jr, who gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns.
The victory (which was Pass Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.8 points per game. As for Quitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Pass Christian will take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Columbia's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six contests. Quitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
