Guthrie extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 2 this week by beating El Reno, 52-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Northwest Classen made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,596 from 10,027. The advance stemmed from a 52-14 victory over the Knights last week.
Carl Albert's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Steven Thompson has thrown for 704 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Dillon Lohr has 8 catches for 267 yards. Thompson also leads the league in rushing with 937 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Guthrie takes on second place Deer Creek.
Thompson of the Carl Albert is just 63 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 126 carries Thompson has accumulated 937 yard this year.
Guthrie led 5A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Indians.
