The Master's Academy Patriots will face off against the Jupiter Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Master's Academy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Brevard HEAT on Wednesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Firehawks. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Firehawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Jacob Higgins made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Higgins was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Johnny Featherstone was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Luke Alford was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brevard HEAT only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Jupiter Christian lost 14-4 to St. Edward's on Thursday.
Jupiter Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J.D. Whitaker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Another was Matt Kutsukos, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Jupiter Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Master's Academy, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
Master's Academy beat Jupiter Christian 10-7 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
