Taryn Minzenmayer put in work no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Courtney Brumley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Joslyn Jones, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
