On Tuesday, Red Cloud came up short against Kenesaw and fell 43-36.
The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Wyatt Frey and Blake Steer. Steer had a great game and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Frey was balling out in the loss, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Deshler earned a 40-32 victory over Red Cloud on Saturday. The victory was just what Deshler needed coming off of a 67-44 loss in their prior game.
Deshler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Easton Nash, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Kleen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Red Cloud's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11. As for Deshler, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
