The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Freedom Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Freedom will be coming in after a loss.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy was the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Altamonte Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian Academy.
Keyrstin Beckett and Jenessa Pomales were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Beckett tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Pomales tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, Beckett gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Beckett scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Pomales scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Pomales has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Trinity Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Charleigh Morasse, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave Morasse a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kay'La Jones, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.
Trinity Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Freedom fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Legacy Charter on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 11-6 to the Eagles. The Patriots' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row dating back to last season.
Allison Smith spent all 8.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered ten runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 22 Ks.
At the plate, Evanna Hance was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Camila Ramos was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs over those games. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
