Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Frontenac's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Frontenac won the last time they faced St. Mary's-Colgan, and Laynee Shay did her part to make sure it happened again. The Raiders came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Shay, who had 12 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16.

Camryn Jacquinot and Izzy Tierney certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Jacquinot had ten digs, while Tierney had eight assists.

Frontenac has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Frontenac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Girard on the 9th. St. Mary's-Colgan has also already played their next game (against Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
