Central got themselves on the board against Opelika on Tuesday, but Opelika never followed suit. They breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 54-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Red Devils just coasted through the last quarter.

Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kennedi Ellis.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-0 win against Hewitt-Trussville on the 9th. As for Opelika, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Montgomery Catholic at 10:15 a.m. on the 13th. The Knights' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
